Pricing and Returns/Exchange Policy
Storks & Berries is a proudly Canadian company, which has been offering online shopping convenience to our customers since 2008. All of our prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and due to the exchange rate, we are currently accepting US Dollars at par for US orders. Although we are not required to charge tax on US orders, we are required to charge the applicable HST/GST on all Canadian orders.
At this time we are set up to accept orders online, with payment made via Paypal (you do not need to have a Paypal account to use Paypal). We have chosen Paypal as our online payment method because it is a secure and safe way to make payments online.
If you are uncomfortable with online shopping, please create an account so that you can save your order and then email [email protected], or phone us at (705) 229-4667 and we will do our best to accommodate your order and payment in another manner. We would be happy to accept interac e-mail money transfer, zoompass, cash on delivery, money orders or other certified payment. Additional fees may apply.
Customs & Taxes
If you live in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba or Quebec, you are required to self assess the appropriate provincial portion of the sales tax and remit it to the appropriate government.
Orders shipped to U.S. based customers may be subject to customs, duty, taxes, and / or brokerage fees. Customs invoices may arrive either with your parcel or they may follow delivery of your package via mail. Customers are responsible for paying these additional charges.
PEI has decided to increase their tax on cloth diapers to 14% which is the opposite of other provinces. Because PEI has decided to use different definitions on which products are exempted from HST (ie. eligible for POS Rebates) we are waiting on determinations for some of our products before applying the rebates for PEI.
A lot of our products are eligible for "point of sale rebates" in Ontario and Nova Scotia which means that they are taxed at 5% and exempt from the provincial portion of the HST. Items that qualify for the 5% rate include cloth diapers, cloth diaper inserts, doublers, cloth diapering kits, baby swaddling blankets and bunting bags. Cloth diaper accessory items such as cloth wipes do not qualify for the 5% rate with the exception of when they are in a cloth diapering kit. Nevertheless, if you use cloth wipes, you will be saving the HST on all those disposable wipes that you would otherwise be using! There is a quirk in how HST is applied to shipping in PEI, BC and Nova Scotia. If you order some items at 5% and some at 13, 14, or 15% tax, the tax on the shipping is prorated.
Nova Scotia has eliminated the provincial tax on disposable diapers as of July 1, 2010 as well. Newfoundland, New Brunswick, and PEI continue to charge the full 13% or 14% tax on all cloth diapers as well as disposable diapers.
Our policy is to provide excellent customer satisfaction. If for any reason you are unhappy with a product purchased on this site, you can return it in unused and re-saleable condition by contacting us within 3 days of receiving your product. Once Storks & Berries receives your returned item, in satisfactory condition (unworn, unwashed, no odours, etc), we will be happy to issue you a refund of the purchase price. Shipping and handling costs, border taxes, and customs fees are non-refundable. Please e-mail [email protected] before sending any returns to us.
Used, soiled, or damaged products (including products that smell like smoke) cannot be accepted for return. All merchandise must be returned in its original packaging and with all tags intact for a refund to be issued.
For health reasons, we do not accept returns on women's underwear, swimsuits, or nursing bras.
All sales become final 30 days after the date of purchase. Clearance items and special orders are final sale. Restocking fees will be applicable on larger orders/items.
Please note: Customers are responsible for shipping charges on returned items.

Please contact us within 3 days of receiving your product to arrange an exchange. We will ask that you return the item to be exchanged to us (in unused, unwashed, and re-saleable condition), with return shipping being your responsibility. Once we receive the item back in stock, we will get your new item ready for shipping. Additional shipping costs will apply as will any additional costs for the item you are selecting. We will send you an invoice, via PayPal, for these costs. Once payment has been received in full, we will ship you out your new item. Please e-mail [email protected] before sending any items for exchange to us.

Items Returned by Canada Post
Items returned to us by Canada Post will be charged any and all "Return Shipping Charges" as well as any additional shipping charges incurred by us to resend the orders to our customers. Please, please ensure that your PayPal address is correct when you place your order to avoid unexpected charges. Canada Post now charges us to get an order back from them when it is returned to us ... if for any reason your package is returned to us (i.e. you provide the wrong address or mark the package "Return to Sender", etc), we will withhold this amount from any refund given or send you an invoice that will be due before we resend the package back to you.
Conditions of Purchase
All products remain the property of Storks & Berries until they are paid for in full.
Please be aware that Storks & Berries is only able to provide guidelines for sizing. Each person is unique and we are unable to account for all variances; thus, we do not guarantee sizing. In the case of incorrectly sized items, however, we will honour our Returns & Exchange policies (as above) for items that are unworn, unwashed, and in their original packaging.
It is important to understand that colours ordered may not be exactly as displayed on your computer screen. Colour samples are approximations only as variances in dye lots, computer screens, and other factors may affect how the colour appears on your screen versus the colour of the actual product.
Please Note: Storks & Berries reserves the right to cancel any order at our discretion and will, of course, refund any such purchase via the same method in which it was paid should this be necessary.
Storks & Berries' liability is limited to the replacement cost of any product.
